Well, it's been sometime since I've last written on this blog. Since Jan. 2008 I've since completed my third-year of pharmacy school as well as rotations and have since graduated. Currently I'm studying for the boards and contemplating holding out on joining the real world for quite a bit longer (Anyone know where I can get a job that pays me to stay at home and do nothing?).
Anyway, I took a job at a large, well known, teaching hospital that is close to my family. Consequently, I decided that it would be best to move home in order to save money (why waste money on rent when you can live for free at home??) however since doing so my mom has been a pain in my butt (very irate at times, depressed, not understanding, etc.) and although I understand it's hard for her to realize that yes, I have graduated college, she needs to let go!!! I think she wants me to live at home forever (which, by the way, wont happen!!) I just can't wait to buy my own house and move out because well, that's what you're supposed to do when you graduate college and I just can't continue to deal with this crap! Anyway, this post was just to help me get out some of my frustration. Hope to write again soon.

Large Corporate Pharmacies...
School will be starting soon and I'm more than ready for the semester to start. As a third-year pharmacy student this will be my last semester of class. I will soon be starting rotations although at this point in my education I feel as though I don't know a thing. I've worked in hospital pharmacy for 6 years however due to a recent relocating by my family, I decided that I would give community pharmacy a try because as we all know, that's where the money is!! Well, I decided to go with a large corporate pharmacy and I must say that it was the most unprofessional environment I have ever worked in!!
As a new intern you would think that they would place me in a store that was well run so that I could build an adequate knowledge base/get my shit down. But, after 2 weeks of training they placed be in the worst store in the district; every pharmacist and intern I spoke with had nothing but terrible things to say about this certain location. Well, I should have been more out spoken regarding the issue after my first bad experience but I decided to see it out because I was new and I didn't want to make waves considering I had just been hired.
I will write about my first bad experience regarding this location-it happened right when I walked in the door!
Please comment on the worst experience you have ever had working for a large corporate pharmacy.
